FORMER Kleenmaid franchisee Ralph Huston may have been able to recover from the loss of $40,000 to rebuild his business in the wake of that corporate collapse.
He clearly can also afford forgiveness in his assessment of the prison sentences handed two Kleenmaid directors, labelling the punishment too harsh.
There are many victims of Kleenmaid and other companies whose directors have put pride, ambition, avarice or their indifference ahead of concern for creditors with a legitimate right to be paid for their services or goods, who can’t and don’t recover from their losses.
