A Pennsylvania-based healthcare company that operates long-term care facilities across the country has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
Chester County-based Genesis Healthcare announced on Wednesday that it has taken steps to restructure its business.
Genesis Healthcare operates more than 160 skilled nursing facilities and senior living communities. The company operates nearly 20 locations in Pennsylvania including the Gettysburg Center in Adams County, and Mifflin Court, Mifflin Center, Laurel Center and Berkshire Commons, all in Berks County.
