Pars United achieved that goal thanks to the “magnificent efforts” of the black and white faithful and now the community interest company will go into voluntary liquidation.
It began on April 1, 2013 when supporters, including the Pars Supporters Trust, put up £100,000 to enable administrators to take over the financially-stricken club – the alternative was liquidation.
Dunfermline survived those dark days and exited administration later that year, going on to become a fan-owned club.
