A DISABLED couple from Leamington were left with a driveway resembling a sand-pit thanks to a rogue builder.
Christopher McFarlane has been ordered to pay £8,000 compensation after carrying out the sub-standard work while also concealing his bankrupt status.
The 48-year-old abandoned the project after three months, leaving the driveway looking like a “poor-quality sandpit”.
His victim, who has not been named, was left more than £16,000 out of pocket as it cost twice as much to repair and complete the work. The driveway was so bad that the victim’s partner, who suffers with mobility issues, struggled to get in or out of the property for several months.
