According to its website, Rooftop Gardens in Rose Lane is operated by Oceanfront GOS Ltd, which appointed liquidators on January 27 this year.
The company was due in court the next day for owing HMRC more than £408,000 in VAT, with the tax office filing a winding-up petition to shut it down.

Rooftop Gardens is still advertising bookings on its social media accounts, saying the bar and restaurant will be open this Thursday to Sunday and that it is “almost fully booked” for Valentine’s Day this Saturday.
