A brewing company has added another brewery to its stable after saving a family-run operation from liquidation.
The Rutland Brewing Company, which runs Grainstore Brewery in Oakham, has bought Kent-based Musket Brewery after its closure last autumn and says the expansion will create new jobs in the area.
It is the second time the Oakham-based business has rescued a struggling brewery, after buying Ryhall’s Stoney Ford Brew Company in 2018 following its closure.
The brewery also runs the Rutland Cider Company as well as the Pink Tap gas company which supplies cellars gases to pubs and private events.
