A DESIGN studio launched by the owner of a popular pizzeria chain in Edinburgh has fallen into liquidation due to the “ongoing economic pressures” across the hospitality industry.
Michele Civiera, founder of the restaurant chain Civerinos, has closed his Hot Slice Studio in the Scottish capital, saying the “time was right” to bring the venture to a close, according to The Herald.
The George Street creative space is separate from the wider Civerinos group, which has venues across Edinburgh and in Glasgow, and offered “design that feels alive” and ensured “every pixel carries the same energy as a fresh slice hitting the counter at 2am”.
Ian Wright and Brian Milne of Quantuma Advisory were appointed as liquidators.
