Orange people love their cars and new figures have revealed just how far the love affair extends. The number of registered vehicles in Orange has risen by 13.5 per cent in five years, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics’ latest snapshot of Orange released this week. It shows we are buying far more light commercials with the numbers up 17 per cent in five years. There are now 9.6 per cent more passengers cars than there were in Orange five years earlier. Trucks and even motorbike numbers are also higher. The big winner has been diesel-fuelled vehicles. There has been an increase of 48.6 per cent from 2014 to 2019.
