THE team at a popular Somerset Indian restaurant has clarified they will not be impacted after a company that previously ran the business has been issued a winding-up order.
CHEF FOOD LTD, which is registered at Lopen Raj, Lopenhead, South Petherton, is currently subject to a winding-up order petition.
This is a formal application which has been made to the court asking for it to be wound up and placed into compulsory liquidation.
If the court ultimately makes a winding-up order, control of the company passes to a liquidator, and the directors’ powers effectively come to an end.
Despite this, the team at the restaurant has said they are unaffected, as CHEF FOOD LTD no longer owns the curry house as of January this year.
