Two directors of a liquidated waste company at the centre of a row over abandoned skips are now back in charge of a new firm. Longport-based Staffordshire Waste Recycling Centre collapsed into liquidation in August.
It followed complaints about the company failing to collect skips from customers’ properties and the Environment Agency removing one of its licences.
Now liquidator Currie Young has sold the Staffordshire Waste Recycling Centre business and assets to Hyper Waste Management. The new company has four directors from the Millward and Preece families – including Liam and Calvin Preece from Staffordshire Waste Recycling Centre.
