A British sofa manufacturer has entered liquidation, marking another setback for the UK furniture industry as manufacturers continue to face mounting operational and market pressures.

According to public filings, the Derbyshire-linked company, Habbio Home Limited, appointed liquidators on 6 May. The business, which launched in 2020, promoted itself as a sustainable British-made furniture brand focused on modular sofa designs manufactured in the UK using recycled and recyclable materials.
