A former Sydney casino employee has been charged following an investigation into an alleged card cheating scam.
My GC reports that the Organised Crime Squads Casino and Racing Unit launched a probe into the man in February, after receiving reports an employee and patron had been observed cheating at a card table at a Sydney casino.
Following investigations, detectives arrested the 26-year-old at the casino on March 3.
Police will allege in court that the man, who was a baccarat table dealer at the casino, was involved in an organised cheating scam with a patron, between February and March 2021, totalling more than $35,000.
