Australian table grape grower and exporter The Grape House Group has entered liquidation with debts totaling $43.6 million, a year after receiving a $1 million fine for breaching export regulations.
The Euston-based company, established in 1952 and now under second-generation family ownership, exports table grapes internationally. According to a notice published by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), the company and associated entities owned by the Costa family entered liquidation following a meeting on October 2.
Hamish Alan MacKinnon and Nicholas Giasoumi have been appointed joint liquidators.
