A family-run UK haulage company that first hit the road almost 12 years ago has dropped into liquidation, according to the London Gazette. S Peacock & Son, a haulage and freight company based in Cambridgeshire, fell into liquidation back in March in another blow to the industry.
A Winding-Up Notice was published in the London Gazette back on March 3, but liquidators had been appointed as of February 26. The Gazette explained that the company had been “wound up voluntarily”, with Grace Jones and David Perkins of Parker Andrews Limited appointed joint liquidators. It is unknown how many job cuts can be expected at this stage.
