A UK holiday company has plunged into liquidation amid debts of almost £1 million, leaving all trips cancelled. Gold Crest Holidays, a family-owned coach tour operator based in Ilkley, West Yorkshire, began operations in 1988. The company specialised in coach packages to destinations including Disneyland Paris, European city breaks, and UK sporting events.
On March 19, Christ Parkman of specialist business firm Purnells was appointed as the liquidator for Gold Crest Holidays. The firm has around £156,000 worth of assets that could be distributed to creditors, according to a statement of affairs submitted to Companies House.
