A family-run ice cream company has gone into liquidation after trading for 125 years. Di Rollo Ice Cream in Musselburgh, near Edinburgh, was established in 1899 by Domenico di Rollo, who travelled from Italy to Scotland where he opened a small ice cream shop.
The business continued to grow until it came under the ownership of Syn3rgy Capital in 2024. The directors of the company have now appointed AAB Business & Tax Advisory as liquidator. Elaine Di Rollo said her own business remains open for business.
