A pub firm at the heart of a Suffolk village has collapsed into liquidation, marking a difficult moment for the local community it served. Goldings Public House Ltd, which trades as The Victoria in Thurston near Bury St Edmunds, has entered creditors’ voluntary liquidation, according to a notice published in The London Gazette on 28 March 2026.
The company operates the traditional public house and formally appointed a liquidator on 26 March. Insolvency practitioner Brendan P Hogan of Cromwell & Co Insolvency Practitioners has been tasked with winding up the business following the decision by both members and creditors.
