A wind-up petition for a soft play centre in Staffordshire which abruptly shut last year has been presented and will be heard later this month. GrandKidz opened in December 2024 and was located in Lichfield‘s Three Spires Shopping Centre. It had an airport theme and described itself as a “soft play with sensory room, café and separate party room in heart of Lichfield“.
But in September 2025, the business announced that it was left with no option but to close with “immediate effect”. In a post sharing the news on Facebook, the soft play centre said: “Writing this really saddens us, and words can’t explain how this has affected us and how it will continue to affect us in the coming days, months and years.
