In what may be construed as a political move to target dissenting voices of opposition leaders, the Lusaka High Court has virtually declared outspoken and volatile UPND lawyer bankrupt.
The court has ordered that Mushipes property be repossessed in a matter where she failed to settle a loan.
According to available court records, the High Court ordered the possession following a default judgment entered after Mushipe failed to appear in a case in which Indo-Zambia Bank dragged her to court demanding over K200,000 debt.
Indo-Zambia Bank was demanding payment of funds advanced to Mushipe under an overdraft facility secured by an equitable mortgage and legal mortgage over the said property.
