Puddledub Pork and Fifeshire Bacon Company Limited, collectively known as Puddledub, appointed joint liquidators on April 15, 2026, following a winding-up petition earlier in the year.
Based in west Fife, the Mitchell family business has traded since 1905, operating from Clentrie Farm and drawing on generations of farming heritage in the area stretching back more than 300 years. The firm built a strong reputation for traditional butchery, specialising in dry-cured bacon and hand-linked sausages supplied to farm shops and delis across Scotland and further afield.
Joint liquidators Callum Angus Carmichael and Michelle Elliot of FRP Advisory have now been appointed to oversee the process.
