A popular cafe known for its French bread and pastries has closed its doors suddenly, triggering a heartfelt statement from its owners.
Often described as bringing a slice of the French Quarter to the Sunshine Coast, the long-standing cafe is much-loved among patrons.
Andrew and Jade Ackerman took over the reins of La Maison du Patissier at Merdian Plains in April.
In a statement to social media on December 2, La Maison du Patissier announced its shock closure after it entered liquidation.
