Danish water technology company Aquaporin A/S, known for its nature-inspired filtration membranes, has announced plans to file for insolvency after failing to secure sufficient funding to continue operations.
The company, which specialises in advanced water treatment solutions using its proprietary “Aquaporin Inside®” technology, withdrew a rights issue announced in December 2025, citing a lack of viable financial support. The board concluded that, despite exploring multiple funding and partnership options, there was no sustainable path forward.
