The iconic Dutch interior brand Rivièra Maison has been declared bankrupt. Founder and director Henk Teunissen has confirmed this to the editorial team of Wonen360. He will respond in detail to the situation at a later stage. ‘We are devastated,’ he said, visibly shaken.
Founded in 1985, Rivièra Maison grew under Teunissen’s leadership from a modest flower shop to an internationally recognised brand in the home furnishings industry. With a distinctive signature combining modern country style with craftsmanship and sustainability, the brand managed to retain a loyal customer base for years.
