A woman who won a 127,000 jackpot has revealed the pain of her two-decade descent into gambling addiction that made her bet more than her winnings.
Lisa Walker, 48, from Essex, says the foundations for her gambling addiction were laid at a young age.
As a youngster her dad and granddad would play cards together, for small bets of 50ps, but she recalled how winning bets of 1 would give her a rush.
Once she was legally able to gamble at the age of 18, and could enter casinos, that’s when her addiction really started, she said.
