Former Oroton boss Sally Macdonald has quit as chief executive of Woolworths’ struggling discount department store chain BIG W after less than a year in the job.
The shock departure was announced on Wednesday by new Woolworths chief executive Brad Banducci, who said turning around BIG W was likely to take three to five years and Ms Macdonald was not prepared to stay on board for the duration.
