Bradley Wiggins revealed his son Ben’s fears he would be found dead in the morning as the British cycling legend opened up about his addiction to cocaine.

The Tour de France champion and five-time Olympic gold medallist revealed earlier this year that he had struggled with a drug addiction following his retirement from the sport in 2016.

Wiggins has now admitted he had become a ‘functioning addict’ and had been doing ‘s***loads of cocaine’.

The 45-year-old explained how his children Isabella and Ben, who is part of the British Cycling set-up, had tried to put him into rehab having become concerned over his addiction.

‘There were times my son thought I was going to be found dead in the morning,’ Wiggins told the Observer. ‘I was a…

COSTA MESA, Calif., May 13, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — While some Americans are struggling with unmanageable debt, they are finding many ways to cope, including limiting their use of credit cards and sticking to a rigid budget. A survey from Experian found that U.S. adults describe unmanageable debt as constant stress and a choice between paying off debt and covering basic necessities.

The good news is that many U.S. adults report conquering debt they once thought was unmanageable, including credit card and medical debt, as well as personal and student loans. Approximately 36% of U.S. adults who have overcome such debt took on an additional job or side hustle, about 26% utilized the snowball method (prioritizing smaller debts…

SINGAPORE – The High Court has ordered the private trustees handling the bankruptcy estate of alleged fraudster Ng Yu Zhi to accept a creditor’s claim for $12 million, which was previously rejected.

The claim was filed by Veronica Shim Wai Han, the former chief executive of Envysion Wealth Management (EWM), who has alleged that Ng misled her into investing in his Envy companies with fraudulent representations.

Shim, 51, had appealed to the High Court after her proof of debt – a document filed by creditors to make a formal claim against a bankrupt debtor – was rejected by trustees Lai Seng Kwoon and Adrian Chan.

Ng, 37, is accused of masterminding a scam which attracted $1.46 billion from 947 investors, including prominent…

The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) on Tuesday postponed the insolvency case of Bhushan Power & Steel Ltd (BPSL) to May 30, when it is likely to issue directions on a petition submitted by former promoter Sanjay Singal.

This comes following a request by Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, who represents the union government and various stakeholders. He requested the bench to allow Singal to identify and implead all necessary parties before the matter is formally heard.

“Let him (Singal) consider whom he would wish to join, or who are necessary parties before even notice is issued, and thereafter we can issue,” Mehta told the bench.

The NCLT’s principal bench, headed by Justice R. Sudhakar, accepted Mehta’s argument and…

Affimed N.V. (AFMD), a clinical-stage immuno-oncology company, has announced filing for insolvency proceedings with the local court of Mannheim, Germany. Despite ongoing fundraising efforts, the company failed to secure sufficient capital to continue operations of Affimed N.V. and its subsidiaries Affimed GmbH and Affimed Inc.

As a result of these proceedings, Affimed’s common shares will be suspended from trading and subsequently delisted from The Nasdaq Global Market. The company’s current liquidity condition raises…
