Company files for bankruptcy 

In Sweden, the bankruptcy process begins when either the company itself or one of its creditors applies to the local court where the company is based for it to be declared bankrupt.

In the case of Northvolt, the company applied to the Stockholm district court even for subsidiaries based in Skellefteå and Västerås.  

It is the court that makes the final decision. It does this by checking that the company is, indeed, insolvent (obestånd) i.e., that it is incapable…

New Delhi: India’s top business conglomerates, including JSW, Dalmia Bharat, Jindal Power, Vedanta, GMR, Welspun, and Torrent, have submitted expressions of interest (EoIs) for the assets of Jaiprakash Associates Ltd (JAL). The Adani Group is also expected to join the race before the final deadline of March 25, The Economic Times reported.

The competition for JAL’s assets is intensifying, with another large Delhi-based industrial house and Kotak Alternate Assets also likely to submit bids. This marks the first step in a court-monitored insolvency process, aiming to find a new owner for the company’s prized holdings.

Katie Price can “finally move on” after her she was discharged from her second bankruptcy.
The former glamour model, 46, is free of her financial issues after the order – relating to an unpaid tax bill of more than £750,000 – was dissolved on Monday (17.03.25) following the discharge of a previous bankruptcy on 11 February.
Katie told The Sun newspaper: “I’m so happy. I can finally move on and put these bankruptcies behind me and now only focus on the positive.
“Thank you to everyone that has supported me through this process.”
A source went on to add the TV star is now going to start trying to claw back her lost millions.

Reality star Katie Price has said that both of her bankruptcies have been discharged.

The former glamour model, 46, who has fronted various Channel 4 and BBC documentaries about her life, was declared bankrupt for a second time last year over an unpaid tax bill worth more than £750,000.

Her first bankruptcy from 2019 was discharged earlier this year, after a hearing at the Insolvency and Companies Court.

A representative for Ms Price confirmed to the PA news agency on Tuesday that the second bankruptcy has been discharged.

Ms Price told The Sun: “I’m so happy. I can finally move on and put these bankruptcies behind me and now only focus on the positive.
