Canadian department store retailer Hudson’s Bay Company said on Friday it has failed to secure sufficient financing to go ahead with a restructuring transaction under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act.

​The Toronto-based company said it has only secured limited debtor-in-possession financing that will require the full liquidation of the entire business, added that a store-by-store liquidation process will begin as soon as next week.

Hudson’s Bay said it hopes that key stakeholders, particularly its landlord partners, would explore with it an alternative restructuring path that could preserve jobs and tenancy in retail…

A firm behind several major construction projects has gone into voluntary administration just weeks after completing a key project on the Sydney Fish Markets. 

Sharvain Facades engineered the attention-grabbing facade on the University of Technology Sydney’s Chau Chak Wing building and the cladding on Circular Quay’s Quay Quarter Tower. 

The company had fabricated the new Sydney Fish Market’s 200m, fish scale roof, the last tile of which was laid in February. 

An administrator was appointed to the company on March 4.

New Delhi, Mar 16: A vendor of Ola Electric Mobility Limited — Rosmerta Digital Services Private Limited — has filed an insolvency petition against a wholly owned subsidiary of the electric two-wheeler maker over alleged non-payment of dues.

The vendor of Ola Electric Technologies Private Limited has approached the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) in Bengaluru, claiming that the company has defaulted on payments for services provided.

According to an exchange filing, Rosmerta Digital Services has requested the tribunal to initiate a corporate insolvency resolution process.

Ola Electric, in response, stated that it strongly disputes the claims made by the vendor and is seeking legal advice to protect its…
