Chantelle is yet to turn 25 and she’s already declared bankruptcy.

The Gen Zer, who works full-time for an energy company and earns $60,000 a year, was forced to declare bankruptcy after finding herself $75,000 in debt and unemployed.

Chantelle’s very open about her debts and recently went viral on TikTok and amassed more than 300,000 views by sharing her story.

The young Aussie worker explained that going bankrupt had “helped her” even though she was originally “against the idea”.

Chantelle, 24, found herself completely in over her head when she lost her job earlier this year, earning $75,000 at the time, and she was left to try and pay a debt that was the size of her yearly wage.

Katie Price has said that she missed the court hearing where she was declared bankrupt for a second time because she was “dealing with serious stuff” in her personal life.

Earlier this week, the former glamour model was declared bankrupt for the second time in five years over an unpaid £761,994.05 tax bill.

The reality star was previously declared bankrupt in 2019 after failing to stick to a plan to repay her debts.

The new bill “derives from self-assessments from the year 2020-2021 and from the year 2021-22”, according to a hearing at London’s Rolls Building, Insolvency and Companies Court.

Judge Sebastian Prentis said Katie had not yet responded, and made a bankruptcy order due to a…

Gail Porter has revealed that she lost all of her belongings amid her bankruptcy and homelessness woes.

The Scottish TV personality, 53, was declared bankrupt in 2017 and is now a patron of the Fair Credit Charity – which alleviates financial hardship through community lending.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday to discuss the charity, Gail revealed that she was left homeless after TV work dried up following her alopecia diagnosis – and she ended up sleeping on Hampstead Heath.

She also said that she was forced to put all of her belongings into a storage facility, but was never able to get them back as she couldn’t afford the payments.

(Bloomberg) — Casual restaurant chain TGI Friday’s Inc. filed for bankruptcy protection after struggling to turn around a business pressured by increasingly cost conscious consumers who’ve either become more selective when dining out, or prefer competitors that provide faster food.

The company filed Chapter 11 on Nov. 2 in the Northern District of Texas, listing assets of between $100 million and $500 million and liabilities of between $100 million and $500 million on its bankruptcy petition.

“The primary driver of our financial challenges resulted from Covid-19 and our capital structure,” Rohit Manocha, the chain’s executive chairman, said in a separate statement.

The filing comes after Bloomberg News earlier reported that…

A re-elected Albanese Labor Government will cut a further 20 per cent off all student loan debts, wiping around $16 billion in student debt for around three million Australians.

University students and graduates will see an average of $5,520 wiped from their HECS debt and new data has revealed how each state and territory is expected to benefit.

Labor has also promised students cost-of-living relief under changes to repayment arrangements.

The minimum threshold for repayments would be lifted by more than $10,000 a year, from about $54,000 to $67,000.

For someone on an income of $70,000 this will mean they will pay around $1,300 less per year in repayments.

These changes will provide significant relief to Australian students and…
