Bruno Mars owed out of casino debt

Bruno Mars was never in debt. Any claim about the singer owing money to anyone have been debunked by the casino’s management themselves.

MGM Resorts sided with Bruno Mars Monday after the singer was allegedly called indebted to the casino.

A report from NewsNation last week claimed that the Grammy winner was knee deep in gambling debt that had built up to $50 million at MGM.

The news was cited through an anonymous source close to the matter by the outlet, and claimed that Mars allegedly earned $90 million annually, through his residencies at MGM but was exhausting a large amount of that profit to get off his gambling debt.

“[He will] only make $1.5 million per night after taxes,” the report…

Robert Bull, the owner of beleaguered caravan giant RoyaleLife that is facing £725 million ($916 million) in debt, was declared bankrupt by an English court on Friday.

It’s a stunning reversal for a man who, just seven months ago, was said to have a wealth of £1.9 billion and was the second-highest ranking new entry in The Sunday Times rich list. Judge Michael Giddins made a bankruptcy order against Bull on Friday in a hearing at County Court in Southampton, England.

Deputy Greens Leader and spokesperson for Higher Education, Senator Mehreen Faruqi, has responded to Labor’s bill that was introduced today claiming to wipe $3 billion of student debt.

The bill is nothing more than a mirage to give the impression that the Labor government is wiping student debt, when in fact it will have little impact. Around 3 million Australians have over $74 billion in student debt, so shaving off $3 billion in indexation just scratches the surface.

Equally, the inclusion in the bill of a Commonwealth payment for students undertaking placements in nursing, teaching and social work is wholly inadequate and excludes hundreds of thousands of other students required to do unpaid placement work.

As stated by Senator Mehreen…

Positive thinking wasn’t enough to help Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment escape a pile of unpaid bills.

The publisher of uplifting books, TV, movie and online video content, which also owns DVD rental operator Redbox, on Friday filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in Delaware court after racking up nearly $1 billion in debt.

Chicken Soup was founded in 1993 by motivational speakers Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen. Over the ensuing years, the company expanded beyond publishing books and developed a range of advertisement-supported video-on-demand services, including Redbox, Crackle, and Popcornflix, according to S&P Capital IQ.

The publicly traded company, which is based in Cos Cob,…

The most affected sectors include electricity, gas, water and waste services, with an 89% increase, followed by education and training (87%), and mining (72%). The information, media and telecommunications sector was the only one to show improvement, with a 2% decrease in insolvency rates.

Small businesses in the electricity, gas, water and waste services sector are particularly impacted, entering external administration at a rate of 1.16%, up from 0.51% in May 2023. The mining sector faces rising insolvencies in both small and large businesses, particularly in mining services. Education and training sector insolvencies are predominantly among small businesses, exacerbated by declining international…

Fans of singer Bruno Mars were left biting their nails after reports claimed that the star worked up a multi-million gambling debt. News reports alleged that the 38-year-old Grammy-winning star had amassed a staggering $50 million debt through gambling activities at the Las Vegas casino where he signed a multi-year residency deal back in 2016.
Now, MGM Resorts International has stepped forward to address the rumours and dispel any misconceptions surrounding Mars’s financial status. In a statement, the company categorically denied any assertions of Bruno Mars owing them $50 million. The casino emphasized their pride in their longstanding partnership with Mars, and clarified that any speculation regarding his supposed debt is entirely…
