When police executed a search warrant at the Brighton home on April 16, they say, they found steam cleaners, as well as bottles of ammonia and bleach.

Senior Detective Stewart told the court police believed there was a high probability that Mr Newman knew the location of Ms Hamkas remains.

I dont have any direct evidence in so far as that he knows, but there is a high degree of probability, I submit, that his attendance at that house on the days, for the duration, that he does know.

The court heard the pair had been close associates for about a year, and Mr Loughnane used to work with Mr Newmans brother.

THEREs been a great deal of talk in recent months around the various options open to any business looking to deal with creditor pressure now that trading activity is resuming always assuming that it can meantime source both product and staff.

Ive taken the view that over-stretching the business/personal cash flow programme is unlikely to prove fruitful in securing survival, so care needs to be taken to manage cash resources in order to plot a return to overall solvency in the long term.

In June of this year, Kwasi Kwarteng MP wrote to the insolvency trade body R3 in his capacity as Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy because R3 had asked him to provide comf…

Connecticut lawmakers gave the green light to sports betting earlier this year but its still an open question as to whether all the necessary rules and regulations will be in place when the NFL season kicks off between the Dallas Cowboys and the Tom Brady-led Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sept. 9.

Critical questions about how sports betting actually will work and when people will be able to place their bets in person or online remain unsettled, with a key meeting of state regulators scheduled for today.

Heres what we know:

The legislation Gov. Ned Lamont signed into law May 27 legalized sports betting and online gambling, greatly expanding gambling to tablets, phones and laptops. The law also authorizes the Connecticut L…

The measures take into account the group’s site-related set-up, its new strategy and the current strained balance sheet situation. The board of directors and group management intend to concentrate production at the Sulgen site by the end of 2023. The headquarters and administration will remain in Hochdorf. The proceeds from the planned sale of the land and building in Hochdorf will relieve the balance sheet.

In recent quarters, Hochdorf said it has succeeded in stabilizing its operating business and selling or closing some assets of the business. Nevertheless, the group continues to suffer from an excessive debt burden of approximately CHF 100m/$109.4m (excluding hybrid bond of CHF 125m/$136.8m), which is attributable to the forward st…

Mumbai, Aug 30: Aashit Shah, Partner, J Sagar Associates, has said that infrastructure regulators and Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) would need to work in tandem for a successful insolvency resolution of an INvit which may involve a change in the sponsor, investment manager or trustee or transfer of an infrastructure asset.
