Street Fighter EX series developer Arika, founded by Capcom veterans Akira Nishitani and Mihara Ichiro, recently celebrated its 30th anniversary. To commemorate the milestone, the studio announced a major discount on 2018’s Fighting EX Layer, which is available for only $0.99 on Steam and PS4 as of November 1 (originally $39.99).
Ever since the price revision, Fighting EX Layer has seen a boost in player numbers, and the rekindled interest has inevitably led to requests for additional ports and new features like cross-platform support. However, responding to such requests on X, Arika’s vice president Mihara Ichiro explained that adding crossplay requires more effort and financial risk than players may expect, despite…
The family of former England boss Sven-Göran Eriksson are understood to have been forced to sell luxury lakeside mansion to help settle his £8million debt.
The late Three Lions football manager’s Swedish lakeside property was reportedly sold at a substantial financial loss.
Eriksson died in August last year at the age of 76.
He passed away at the luxury residence in Torsby, Värmland, in Sweden after a long illness with pancreatic cancer, which he had publicly announced as terminal earlier that year.
The mansion was initially listed at £2million but has been sold for significantly less, according to The Sun.
His family were compelled to reduce the asking price by £400,000 to generate buyer interest, with the property eventually selling…

UK cinema company Really Local Group has entered liquidation after eight years in operation.
Founded with the aim of regenerating high streets in underserved areas, the company sought to create inclusive third spaces built around cinema. Over eight years, Really Local Group launched five community venues across London, employed more than 700 local staff, paid out over £8m in wages, and sold around 1.5m cinema tickets.
Its venues transformed disused shops and nightclubs into affordable, multi-purpose community hubs co-designed with local residents. Each location offered a mix of cinema screens, live performance areas, café-bars, and flexible creative spaces.
From the outset, however, the company faced considerable challenges….
The SA Revenue Service (Sars) will take on former Passenger Rail Agency of SA (Prasa) CEO Lucky Montana unopposed in the Pretoria high court, in a legal bid to attach his assets over a multimillion-rand tax debt.
Sars has also requested Montana, now an MP for the MK party, be declared insolvent because his assets are worth only R10.5m and the tax debt from 2009 to 2019 has ballooned to R55m, including interest.
An insolvency declaration would threaten Montana’s job as an MP.
The matter has been placed on the unopposed court roll after Montana lost his appeal for condonation for the late filing of his answering affidavit last month.
The tax authority’s sequestration application was lodged in 2024, and Montana’s answering affidavit was…
Sven-Goran Eriksson‘s luxury mansion has reportedly been sold at a cut-price, as his family look to pay off his large debts.

The former England manager reportedly had assets worth £4.8million but owed a staggering £7.25m to HMRC alone. He also owed reportedly had at least £1m outstanding in other debts.
And in a bid to help reduce that outstanding debt, his family have sold his old mansion called Bjorkefors – albeit at a substantial loss.
According to The Sun, the property was on the market for £2m but his family had…
The good news: student-loan forgiveness is back on. The bad news: borrowers who get it could facethousands of dollars in new taxes next year.
On Monday, Sen. Elizabeth Warren led a group of her Democratic colleagues in sending a letter to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, exclusively viewed by Business Insider, calling on him to use his authority to prevent a “tax bomb” from hitting student-loan borrowers next year. The lawmakers are referring to a 2021 provision in the American Rescue plan that made student-loan forgiveness tax-free, and the provision is set to expire in January 2026.
It means that borrowers who complete their payments on income-driven repayment plans in 2026 could face thousands of dollars…
