Primary Health Care boss Malcolm Parmenter remains confident he can turn the fortunes of the struggling medical centre business, while also revealing that the company is mulling a major rebranding that may result in a name change.

The $1.9 billion company on Friday posted a 5 per cent increase in underlying net profit for the December half after three years of contraction, but its medical centres business remains a headache and saw earnings plunge.

“We are a turnaround story with medical centres, but I’m confident that we can make something out of that business,” Dr Parmenter told AFR Weekend.

This week should be a landmark for Royal Bank of Scotland. The publication of its annual results on Friday should mark the first time since the financial crisis that the taxpayer-backed bank has reported a profit for shareholders.

RBSs dire run started in 2008, when it racked up a loss of £24.1bn the biggest in UK corporate history. The bank almost colla…

We expect the focus of reporting season to be the three Cs cost pressures, capital expenditure, and cash returns, UBS said.

With balance sheet repairs largely complete, questions are increasingly being raised as to if M&A activities are close. We feel that given the increase in commodity prices is not a function of an increase in demand, the miners will not rush into spending big on capital, rather they will follow the Rio touted value over volume mantra, UBS said.

Mr Lawcock told Fairfax Media that BHP would deliver a strong result and a strong dividend, adding that UBS was not expecting a share buyback to be announced by the Big Australian.

Its a good, strong, solid result, and I would say it continues the journey. BHPs on a journey, eve…

According to the agency that regulates charity organisations, Christ Embassy church in the United Kingdom is in debt and has been declared insolvent by the Charity Commission.

The church owned by popular Nigerian pastor, Chris Oyakhilome, was flagged on the Charity Commission website as charity insolvent. According to the commission, a charity is considered as being insolvent when it is unable to pay its debts.

Report says the ministrys annual return for the years 2013 to 2014 indicated that a total of N7.6 billion (£15.1million) was paid to the interim manager. The church still has an outstanding fee of N1.1 billion (£2215,914) to pay the interim manager in 2015.

A BYRON Shire born estate agency which specialised in luxury high end properties has collapsed, leaving at least 35 staff out of work.

Unique Estates was founded by PR and marketing specialist Nicolette van Wijngaarden in 2008.

Ms van Wijngaarden reportedly sent a personal email to staff on Wednesday saying that wages could not be paid yesterday, as bank accounts were frozen and there were no funds.

The email stated that the business was headed for liquidation, and insolvency firm McGrath Nicol had been appointed, The Australian reported.

“I’m sorry it has come to this,” Ms van Wijngaarden reportedly wrote.

Most staff were based in the company’s main offices in Byron Bay and Sydney.

The administrator of the collapsed auction house Mossgreen is refusing to return consigned goods to more than 1,000 collectors unless it is paid maintenance fees totalling more than $1.4 million.

It comes after Mossgreen, renowned for selling artwork and rare collectables, went into voluntary administration in December.

The latest development more than triples the number of people set to lose money in the collapse.

In January, collectors who still had goods being held by the company were told by the administrator, BDO Australia, that the items were not part of Mossgreen’s assets and would be returned to them after a stocktake was carried out.

But last week, BDO Australia sent a letter to consignors saying they would need to pay a levy of …
