Creditors have officially withdrawn their bankruptcy petition against Mr Anning and his wife Fiona, Fairfax Media can reveal.

NEW DELHI: Jaiprakash Associates Ltd (JAL) today said its board had approved the transfer of certain assets and liabilities, including a debt of over Rs 11,834 crore, to its subsidiary Jaypee Infrastructure Development Ltd as part of its efforts to cut the overall borrowing of the company.
The company had called a board meeting to consider the recommendations of the audit committee on the debt restructuring process approved by the Joint Lenders Forum.
The JAL board “has consented to carry forward the same through the scheme of demerger of the identified assets and liabilities” into a wholly owned subsidiary of the company, it informed the BSE in a regulatory filing.

The number of people seeking help for debt in Cornwall is on the rise with more households struggling to pay basic bills such as water and council tax.
Cornwall Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) said that debt was the single biggest issue that people go to it for advice for, with 34 per cent of all enquiries relating to debt.
About 6,500 people in Cornwall went to their local CAB last year to ask for advice with money concerns. The top reasons for debt were council tax, credit cards and personal loans.
The main area of arrears was for water bills, with CAB clients having £699,984 worth of water bill debt in 2016/17. Second was rent arrears at £195,481, then mortgage payments at £165,871, electricity bills at £127,291 and gas bills totalling £…

Judge Gregory Gill approved Industrial Assets $21.5 million purchase of Appleton Coated on Thursday.
The deal requires California-based Industrial Assets to market the plant for 90 days. If a buyer isnt found, the liquidation company plans to sell the equipment and machinery.

Wednesday won court approval to extend credit protection by a
month to Nov. 7, but its creditors set a deadline of this week
to liquidate the retailers’ assets, leaving the company with
mere days to decide its fate.
While the extension of creditor protection will keep its
lenders at bay a bit longer, the new liquidation deadline means
a deal with Executive Chairman Brandon Stranzl that would allow
