Grays Online has entered administration after being acquired by Slattery Auctions for $2 million. The transaction brings the century-old platform under the ownership of the family-run auction business.

Advisory and restructuring firm McGrathNicol has been appointed to oversee Grays’ operations during administration. Despite entering voluntary administration on October 3, 2025, Grays has assured customers that daily operations remain unaffected. A Help Centre notice recently published on its website states: “We’re trading as normal – orders, deliveries, returns and support are unaffected. If you need help, contact us via the Help Centre.”

Since its establishment in 1922, Grays Online has evolved from a traditional auction house…

North Carolina’s Medical Debt Relief Program has erased over $6.5 billion in medical debt in the past year, state officials say.

The state program has relieved more than 2.5 million residents of their medical debt, according to an announcement from Gov. Josh Stein and North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) Secretary Dev Sangvai.

“Medical debt is a tremendous weight keeping so many families from financial security, and, unlike most other forms of debt, it’s not a choice,” Gov. Stein said via a press release. “Today’s announcement will free people from financial stress so they can focus on getting healthy.”

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) — Governor Josh Stein announced on Monday that through North Carolina’s Medical Debt Relief Program, more than $6.5 billion in medical debt has been relieved for more than 2.5 million North Carolinians over the past year.

“Medical debt is a tremendous weight keeping so many families from financial security, and, unlike most other forms of debt, it’s not a choice,” said Governor Josh Stein.

“Today’s announcement will free people from financial stress so they can focus on getting healthy.”

The announcement surpasses the initial financial projections for the Medical Debt Relief Program, which was established in July 2024. The initiative relieves existing medical debt and prevents the accumulation of more in the future.

Credit card debt has a way of sneaking up on you. One month, you’re charging a few essentials to a rarely used credit card, and the next month you’re staring at a balance that grows despite your best efforts to chip away at it. While there are a lot of factors at play in that equation, right now, a major part of the issue is that credit card interest rates are hovering above 22% on average,…

While 2025 brought with it the high-profile bankruptcies of airlines such as Play and Spirit Airlines, many companies running tours and travel packages faced an even tougher time due to lower demand and high number of competitors operating in given markets.

In June, British travel company Great Little Escapes was stripped of its license to operate after reporting sustained losses for the two previous years.

Fellow British competitor Jetline Holidays had similarly closed down operations a few weeks earlier, while Swedish tour provider MixxTravel was declared bankrupt by a judge at the end of July.

As part of the order to shut down operations, the latter company had to cancel both future bookings and, in some cases, tours that…
