Locate in Kent Ltd has made the decision in light of a “tough set of circumstances,” just two weeks after Visit Kent also went under.

The company helped recognise businesses in the county across food and drinks, creative and digital, tourism, logisitcs, manufacturing and more.

Since its inception, Locate in Kent has supported around 1,130 companies in setting up or expanding in the area, helping to create and retain more than 70,000 jobs.

The three pillar banks have announced plans to introduce a raft of new measures aimed at providing support to customers impacted by problem gambling, including implementing voluntary card blocking, creating a dedicated support line, and enhanced staff training.

The announcement comes from the Irish Banking Culture Board, which is an independent industry initiative funded by the pillar banks AIB, Bank of Ireland, and PTSB.

The board said that common commitment of care for problem gambling initiative aims to provide “consistent and compassionate support to customers affected by problem gambling, reinforcing the banking sector’s role in tackling this important social issue”.
