More Polish firms are opting for restructuring rather than bankruptcy, according to data from the Central Economic Information Centre. In the first half of 2025, courts declared 207 bankruptcies, a slight decrease from 2024. In contrast, 2,610 restructuring proceedings were initiated, a trend expected to rise 13% year-on-year.

Precision Camshafts Limited has announced its decision to dispose of 100% shareholding in its material subsidiary by initiating insolvency proceedings. This move was decided during a board meeting held on September 8, 2025.

The decision is pursuant to Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

The resolution involves the disposal of the company’s 100% shareholding in its material step-down subsidiary, MFT Motoren und Fahrzeugtechnik GmbH, Germany.

The remote e-voting will commence on September 16, 2025 (9:00 AM IST) and shall end on October 15, 2025 (5:00 PM IST). The results of the postal ballot will be announced on or before October 17, 2025.

Corporate bankruptcies among U.S. companies increased in the first quarter to their highest level since 2010, new data showed.

S&P Global Market Intelligence reported that from January through the end of March, there were 188 bankruptcies filed among large U.S. companies, an increase from 139 bankruptcy filings in the first quarter of 2024, which was a 14-year high at the time.

The 188 bankruptcies in the last three months are the most in the first quarter since 2010, when there were 254 bankruptcy filings as the economy reeled in the wake of the financial crisis.

The Supreme Court on Friday called upon the Union government to protect the interests of homebuyers and made a number of suggestions to prevent the liquidation of viable residential projects.

It asked the Centre to consider establishing a revival fund under NARCL (National Asset Reconstruction Company Ltd) and expanding the SWAMIH (Special Window for Affordable and Mid-Income Housing) Fund to provide bridge financing for stressed projects undergoing Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process.

The bench of Justices J B Pardiwala and R Mahadevan said housing is a facet of the Fundamental Right to Life under Article 21.
