Donald Trump will help to dig New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and his states GOP out from the mountain of debt incurred during the Bridgegate scandal and the governors failed presidential run.
According to the AP, the New Jersey GOP incurred about $500,000 in legal fees as a result of the investigation into the closing of several lanes feeding the George Washington Bridge and Christies presidential campaign is in the hole for about $250,000.
Trump and Christie will headline a $25,000-a-person fundraising event for the New Jersey GOP as well as a separate $200/person event to cover Christies campaign debts. Both events are scheduled to take place on Thursday at the National Guard Armory in Lawrenceville, NJ.
