Postmedia Network Canada Corp. swung to a profit in its latest quarter, buoyed by a debt restructuring that cut interest payments nearly in half, but continuing weakness in newspaper ads triggered a big drop in revenue.
The Toronto-based publisher of titles including the National Post and Ottawa Citizen on Thursday reported first quarter net income of $17.8 million, or 31 cents a share versus a previous year net loss of $4.2 million or two cents per share.
