After the Legislature took the first step Tuesday to keep the Isaac Elementary School District open amid the district’s financial crisis, it appeared Wednesday that more help would be on the way from a neighboring school district.
The Tolleson Union High School District’s Governing Board was set to vote Wednesday night on a resolution that would authorize lease-purchase financing of Isaac Elementary property.
The resolution stated that it was unlikely Isaac Elementary would “be able to meet its payroll obligations to teachers, support staff and other employees” starting in February.
Isaac Elementary has “various unencumbered school sites which may serve as collateral” to Tolleson Union in a lease financing between the two school districts…
