WASHINGTON — A $60,000 investment will go a long way for some Prince George’s County families faced with hundreds of dollars in school lunch debt.
That latest donation to the Prince George’s County Foundation came from Councilmember Shayla Adams-Stafford, a former educator who was sworn into office in July.
Adams-Stafford used money from a sponsorship program offered to the councilmembers to fund the debt relief. As a mom of three, the councilmember said the issue was personal.
