Penn Entertainment and ESPN have decided to end their joint US sports betting venture, ESPN Bet, a full seven years ahead of schedule. The decision, which takes effect Dec. 1, follows Penn’s inability to meet certain market goals specified in its 10-year agreement with the sports media giant.
