The City of Windhoek has commenced the registration process for its new debt relief programme, urging all eligible residents to submit their applications.
The programme is specifically calling on pensioners who were aged 60 years or older by November 2023, and whose previous applications for relief were rejected for various reasons, to register now.
The registration follows a Council meeting held on 23 October, where the City approved a substantial N$100 million to support pensioners. An additional N$100 million was approved to support other disadvantaged groups in the city.
