David Sharaz has been declared bankrupt within days of his wife, ex-Liberal staffer Brittany Higgins, after the pair lost a two-year-long defamation row with former defence minister Linda Reynolds.
Federal Court Justice Michael Feutrill handed down the order in Perth on Tuesday, under which a trustee will take charge of Sharaz’s financial affairs in a bid to recoup up to $750,000 in legal costs.
