A 13-year-old boy went on a wild gambling spree with his father’s credit card, after getting hooked in by online betting ads.
The teenager from Lancashire in the UK amassed $106,000 by fraudulently using his father’s credit card to bet on sports.
The Sunday Mirror reports that the avid football fan first got the idea after seeing adverts for online bookmakers during a match at Wembley.
After sneakily photographing his dad’s business credit cards, he was able to set up a betting account using his father’s identity.
From then on, he became addicted to the process, placing hundreds of bets a week on football matches and horse races, with the stakes getting as high as $5,300 per bet.
