WASHINGTON (TNND) — New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and conservatives found common agreement regarding pervasive gambling on X.
Last week, Polymarket announced that it had been named the MLB’s “Exclusive Prediction Market Exchange Partner.”
“This is sad,” Ocasio-Cortez said in response to the news. “I know as a politician these companies are going to spend a billion dollars against me for saying it but Pervasive gambling is not good for society. It turns life into a casino, traps people in addiction & debt, surges domestic violence, and fosters manipulation.”
Her response to Polymarket’s announcement resulted in prominent conservative figures coming out and agreeing with her sentiment.
