406 Northumberland residents sought help from the Government’s Breathing Space scheme in 2025 as the cost of living continued to strain households.
The scheme, also known as the Debt Respite Scheme, offers legal protections to those in debt, including a pause on creditor action and the suspension of interest and charges for up to 60 days.
