A historic UK family-run pub has collapsed into liquidation after being in business since the 1800s. The Arthurlie Inn in Barrhead, Scotland, was placed into creditors’ voluntary liquidation on June 23 after 30 years in the same ownership.
Shareholders previously decided to wind up The Arthurlie Inns Ltd, which owns the pub, and an insolvency practitioner has been appointed to handle the process. Steven Wright of Dains in Glasgow has been appointed liquidator of the company, and creditors have been asked to submit details of any amounts owed to them.
