Lenders to the Bathla Group face an urgent call to provide as much as $20 million in funding to the embattled developer, which collapsed this week owing more than $3.5 billion, leaving tens of thousands of homes under development across Sydney’s west in limbo.
As many as 170 lender representatives joined a call on Tuesday night to discuss Bathla’s future, which has caught out some of the country’s biggest private credit and real estate firms.
