SAN ANTONIO – As costs continue to climb, many people are looking for ways to manage overwhelming debt. While some are turning to artificial intelligence for financial advice, nonprofit credit counseling organizations said real help is available.
Maria Gonima, CEO of the Los Angeles-based PR firm Big Smile Co., said she found herself about $60,000 in debt after trying to keep her business afloat during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I found myself in just an insurmountable amount of debt,” Gonima said. “To me, $60,000 debt is a whole lot.”
